North-West Pacific Project (4 countries)
The Northwest Pacific Project was a joint venture between Infratec and Sunergise which saw five
plants concurrently built across four Pacific countries, with a collective capacity of 1.7MW. A
of rooftop and ground-mounted solar, the project took 19 months to complete with all five plants
operational as of March 2020 – thankfully just prior to the global Covid-19 shutdown. This project not
only reduces diesel fuel consumption in the Pacific by 750,000 litres per year but significantly
energy reliability and strengthened grid utility in these areas of the Pacific.
- In Nauru we delivered a 1.15MWp ground mount, grid-connected, solar PV system, with
innovative water-catchment system used to provide water for module cleaning and serve as
emergency source of potable water for the island. - In the Federated States of Micronesia we delivered a 273kWp ground-mount, grid-
PV system. - In Palau we delivered a 109kWp roof-mount, grid-connected, solar PV system (on Koror) and
65kWp ground-mount, grid-connected, solar PV and 168kWh BESS system (on Kayangel) - In the Republic of Marshall Islands we delivered a 136kWp roof-mount, grid-
system.
