Projects / Pāmu Rā ki Whitianga

Infratec’s team officially completed construction of the 33MWp Pamu Rā ki Whitianga for Lodestone Energy in January 2026. This was the fourth solar farm that Infratec delivered for Lodestone Energy, after Kohirā (in Kaitaia), Te Herenga o te Rā (in Edgecumbe) and Rangitaiki (in Waiotahe).

Featuring 53,400 solar panels and 7,150 piles, Pāmu Rā ki Whitianga is expected to generate around 49 GWh of renewable electricity every year, enough to power the equivalent of around 6,800 homes.

For communities across Aotearoa, the shift to renewable energy is more important than ever as we work together to mitigate the impacts of climate change. We’re particularly proud of how well Pāmu Rā ki Whitianga has performed during flooding events in the area, demonstrating that solar energy can be an important enabler of community resilience.
