Sustainability
Sustainability
At Infratec, sustainability is fundamental to our mission of delivering clean, reliable, and responsible energy solutions. We are proud to be leading the charge in Engineering, Procuring, and Constructing solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) renewable energy assets, and are committed to doing good every step of the way.
Sustainability Strategy
Sustainability Strategy
Our Sustainability Strategy outlines how we are working to enhance our positive impact on the environment, local communities, and the broader energy sector. It defines our ambitions up to the 2028 financial year, providing a structured approach to integrating sustainability across seven key impact areas: GHG Emissions and Climate Resilience, Circularity/Waste, Local Community and Land Stewardship, Health and Wellbeing, Procurement, Transparency and Communication, and Collaboration and Advocacy.

Toitū Carbon Reduce
Toitū Carbon Reduce
NewPower, as a subsidiary of WEL Networks, is a Toitū Carbon Reduce certified company. We are proud to track, report and reduce our carbon emissions in line with international standards like ISO 14064, demonstrating our commitment to science-based carbon reduction.

Emmissions Reduction Plan
Emissions Reduction Plan
Committing to both the requirements of our Toitū Carbon Reduce Certification and our Sustainability Strategy, we have developed an Emissions Reduction Plan, which provides a roadmap of how we aim to reduce our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 42% by 2030. This target is aligned with keeping the global temperature under 1.5°C above preindustrial levels.
Our Communities
Our Communities
We take a partnership first approach, knowing our success lies in the strength of our people and partnerships. Whether we’re dealing with an international developer or a local subcontractor, we collaborate first, contract second. And we’re passionate about community good.
Developing and evolving skills within local communities is in our DNA, so we’ve made the decision to work with local labour and ready small subcontractors to take advantage of New Zealand’s solar energy boom, so they too can do good for their communities.
Our Responsible Procurement
Our Responsible Procurement
Modern Day Slavery is an area of increasing concern in the solar PV and BESS industry. NewPower is proud to support fair work and does not tolerate any form of modern slavery, including forced labour, debt bondage, child labour, human trafficking, or involuntary servitude. We are committed to advancing worker safety, dignity, and equitable treatment throughout our value chain.
